The Crow Will Fly In April

Japanese horror flick Crow’s Zero will be released on DVD in the UK on 9 April. The latest offering from controversial director Takashi Miike is billed as the Japanese take on Fight Club and promises to be as visceral as his previous offerings Audition and Ichi The Killer.

The story is based on the bestselling Manga by Hiroshi Takahashi, the man that wrote the script for the original version of The Ring, and is set in Japan’s most violent and notorious high school. The school is dominated by numerous warring factions, constantly battling for supremacy. No one group has ever managed to dominate the school, and the war for territory is about to become more intense than ever.

When Genji Takiya transfers in from a rival school and is determined to gain control of it before graduation, he clashes directly with the toughest kid in school leading to violence and destruction in this tough thriller.

Crow’s Zero is Miike’s most commercially successful film in years and is a must-see for fans of Asian cinema.

Crow’s Zero is yet to be rated but will be available from MVM on 9 April 2012.
