Here’s a small selection of the horror and genre news that caught our eye during the last week …

Mannequin: Tales of Wood Made Flesh, a new anthology of horror and weird fiction on the subject of humanoid entities, available for pre-order now

Featuring a staggering table of contents including the likes of Ramsey Campbell, Jon Padgett, Matthew M. Bartlett and more besides, this eagerly awaited anthology, featuring the haunting cover art shown in the image, will be released 1 June, through Silent Motorist Media. This debut anthology by the publisher has been long awaited and is inspired both by the works of Thomas Ligotti and Bruno Schulz and you can find more information, as well as pre-ordering your copy, here.


House of Skin, the novel by Jonathan Janz, rereleased yesterday by Flame Tree Press

For fans of Jonathan Janz, 2019 just keeps getting better, with another of his prior releases reissued this week, by Flame Tree Press. The novel begins with two members of the Carver family laid to rest in their tomb. They are dead, but awaiting a chance to live again and their nephew Paul may be the key. Released yesterday, 9 June, House of Skin is available now, here.


 

Tickets now available for Horror Con Leicester, taking place Saturday 22 June at The Guildhall

Tickets are now on-sale for the price of just £6.66 for this year’s Leicester Horror Con. Taking place at The Guildhall, Leicester, special guests are now being announced for the event, including Jarred Blancard (Stephen King’s IT), Craig Conway (Dog Soldiers) and more. The city’s DeMonfort University will also be in attendance, displaying their collection of Hammer Horror exhibition materials and will be on hand to talk about them.
