This Is Horror

David Moody VS Wayne Simmons, This Weekend

We announced our David Moody VS Wayne Simmons event a few weeks ago but have a few more details to unveil as we prepare for the big day.

Firstly, anyone travelling from over 100 miles away can get into the event for free. We know that a lot of our fans travel from all over the country to get to these events and we wanted to give something back. Just let us know where you’ve travelled from and we’ll waive the entrance fee.

We said last time you can buy tickets on the night and reserve tickets emailing Michael@ThisIsHorror.co.uk, you can now also purchase tickets at Coventry Waterstone’s.

If you’re on Facebook you can now join our David Moody VS Wayne Simmons event page.

So, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets and join us for David Moody VS Wayne Simmons on 29 June at 7pm in Esquire’s Coffee Bar, Coventry.

Many thanks to Tim Sparvero for once again designing an excellent This Is Horror promotional poster.

Belfast born, Wayne Simmons, has loitered with intent around the horror genre for some years. He penned reviews and interviews for several online zines before publication of his debut novel in 2008. Wayne’s work has since been published in the UK, Austria, Germany, Spain, Turkey and North America.

David Moody grew up on a diet of trashy horror and pulp science fiction. He worked as a bank manager before giving up the day job to write about the end of the world for a living. He has written a number of horror novels, including Autumn, which has been downloaded more than half a million times since publication in 2001 and spawned a series of sequels and a movie starring Dexter Fletcher and David Carradine. Film rights to Hater were snapped up by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pan’s Labyrinth) and Mark Johnson (producer of the Chronicles of Narnia films). Moody lives with his wife and a houseful of daughters and stepdaughters, which may explain his pre-occupation with Armageddon.
