The Cutting Room: The Bye Bye Man

Three friends stumble upon the horrific origins of the Bye Bye Man, a mysterious figure they discover is the root cause of the evil behind man’s most unspeakable acts.

Why we’re looking forward to this: The devil made me do it is an oft used excuse for perpetrators of evil deeds, but what if something actually did make them do it? That’s the premise of The Bye Bye Man and it has us intrigued with its relative originality.

Directed by Stacy Title, whose 1995 pitch black comedy The Last Supper is well worth a viewing (or another one if you’re already familiar with it), and with cameos by Faye Dunaway and Carrie–Anne Moss, The Bye Bye Man could well be a pleasantly horrifying surprise.

The Bye Bye Man is released 13 January 2017.
