Ramsey CampbellRamsey Campbell To Step Down From BFS

Ramsey Campbell has decided that now is the right time to step down as President of the British Fantasy Society an announcement from the BFS this week confirmed. A statement from the committee said, “Sadly, all good things end, and Ramsey has indicated that for various reasons he feels that now is the right time for him to step down from this position, and it is with great sadness that we are announcing his retirement as president. The committee hopes you will all join us in wishing Ramsey well for the future, and in thanking him for his tireless work in promoting and representing the British Fantasy Society.”

JJ Abrams Bringing Stephen King’s 11/22/63 To TV

JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot is currently negotiating the rights to bring Stephen King’s time-travel thriller based around the JFK assassination, 11/22/63, to the small screen. It’s not yet clear whether the project will be a mini series or a multi-season series. Abrams stepped in when Jonathan Demme’s (The Silence Of The Lambs) plans to write and direct fell through.

Butcher’s Hill Short Premieres On FEARnet

From the award-winning writer and directors Jason Noto and Rory Kindersley, Butcher’s Hill, their short fantastical film, celebrated its online premiere on Monday on FEARnet.tv. In 2008 the infamous short film swept the genre festival circuit with its brutal decapitation scene, garnering wide acclaim from critics and bloggers internationally. Now, for the first time ever, it reaches its bloody hands across the nation in all its HD glory. And furthermore, the team has decided to relaunch their efforts to develop the short film into a heart pumping, blood curdling, feature film in 2014 with the support of London based content innovation studio, Fablemaze.

Casting News For American Horror Story: Coven

Precious star, Gabourey Sidibe is the latest addition to the cast of American Horror Story: Coven. It was previously announced that Kathy Bates will play a major part in the third season, along with a number of actors from past seasons. Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters will all be returning for the third season in new roles.
