Wes Craven Dies Aged 76
Maestro horror film director Wes Craven has passed way on Sunday 30 August at the age of 76 following a battle with brain cancer. The respected director was undoubtedly best known as the creator of the A Nightmare On Elm Street and Scream series of films, but he was also responsible for titles such as The Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes, Shocker, Red Eye, and many more. His loss comes as a huge blow to the horror community and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts go out to his family.

Resident Evil Origins Collection Announced
This coming January fans will be able to experience an introduction to the Resident Evil origin stories that started it all in Resident Evil Origins Collection, a physical disc product that contains both the upcoming release of Resident Evil 0 and the recently released critically-acclaimed Resident Evil. This collection will be available in Europe on January 22 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Resident Evil 0 will also be available to purchase digitally for EUR19.99 / GBP14.99 / USD19.99 in early 2016 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
In addition, unveiled today for Resident Evil 0 is the all new Wesker Mode. For the first time ever in Resident Evil 0 players can experience the events leading up to the iconic mansion outbreak playing as alternative character Albert Wesker, alongside S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers. Both characters will star in a special themed outfit for the mode with Wesker replacing the traditional gameplay role of Billy Coen. This mode will provide series fans and newcomers with even more ammo to enjoy this remastered release of the gaming classic from 2002.
Grimmfest 2015 Lineup Announced
GRIMMFEST have announced their lineup for the 2015 edition of the Manchester festival of horror, cult and fantastic film.
During the first four days of October, Grimmfest will be celebrating its seventh year by screening in Manchester on one of the largest screens in the Odeon’s Northern Flagship venue at The Printworks to unleash their latest and greatest line-up of dark, dangerous, wild, weird, witty, thrilling, chilling, blood-spilling movies, every one of them a premiere of one kind or another. Highlights include: a North West premiere of rural shocker The Hallow, a regional premiere of Blood Sucking Bastards, the world premiere of The Box, the world premiere of DXM starring Sam Neill, the European premiere of Antisocial 2 plus UK premieres of He Never Died, Synchronicity, Excess Flesh, The Hive and German Angst.

New Leatherface Poster Artwork Revealed
The brand new poster artwork for the upcoming prequel to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, entitled Leatherface has been released.
French filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo are directing the flick, which has been written by Seth M. Sherwood. Millennium Films, which was behind the 2013 release Texas Chainsaw 3D is once again producing with Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, and Carl Mazzacone for Lionsgate.
Synopsis: In this prequel to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a young nurse is kidnapped by a group of violent teens who escape from a mental hospital and take her on a road trip from hell. Pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, molding him into the monster we now call Leatherface.
