St Martin’s Press are delighted to announce the publication date of Clive Barker’s new novel The Scarlet Gospels. The American Book Publishers will be releasing the novel on 19 May 2015 in both hardback, and audio CD. The plot takes the traditional form of good versus evil in which supernatural detective, Harry D’Amour takes on the infamous Pinhead, the priest of hell. Terror Tales of Yorkshire

Gray Friar Press have announced the release of Terror Tales of Yorkshire, edited by acclaimed author Paul Finch. The collection showcases works from authors including Alison Littlewood, Mark Morris, Stephen Laws, Simon Clark, Gary McMahon and many more. As the title suggests, the anthology comprises short stories set in various places across Yorkshire and the mysterious forces and creatures that inhabit them.  The book can be bought now from the Gray Friar Press website.

Stuck On You and Other Prime Cuts

This week sees the release of Crystal Lake Publications latest offering Stuck On You and Other Prime Cuts. From the pen of Jasper Bark, this collection of short stories promises to unlock desires so decadent you’ll never wash their taint from your flesh. The anthology includes title story “Stuck on You” as well as eight other tales. Extraterrestrial crash lands on 29 October

From the writers of Grave Encounters, The Vicious Brothers, comes Extraterrestrial. Starring Brittany Allen (Defiance, Dead Before Dawn) and Freddie Stroma (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Pitch Perfect), the plot follows a group of college kids who discover the remnants of a spaceship, and the evidence that the alien may still be alive.The film lands in cinemas on 29 October.

Ramsey Campbell joins Darks Regions Press

Dark Regions Press have announced that award-winning author Ramsey Campbell will be joining their books to pen Black Labyrinth Imprint III. The brand new psychological horror short story is the third of a series of ten psychological horror novels and novellas. Campbell’s creation is set to be released on 10 November 2015 and will be available as a premium signed limited hardcover. This Is Horror will keep you updated with more details as they emerge.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 40th Anniversary

Second Sight has announced the release of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 40th Anniversary Steelbook blu-ray. The restoration has been supervised by director of the 1974 feature Tobe Hooper, who says that this is “absolutely the best the film has ever looked”. It includes 4K restoration and a 7.1 audio mix, vastly improving both the visual and audio quality. The Blu-Ray along with brand new bonus features and new artwork by Doaly, will be available on 17 November 2014.
