Here’s a small selection of the horror and genre news that caught our eye during the last week …
New collaboration between Richard and Billy Chizmar, Widow’s Point, available now
Available in both signed and unsigned hardcover editions, the new novella from Richard and Billy Chizmar is now available from PS Publishing (published by Cemetery Dance). Featuring illustrations by Bob Eggleton, Francois Vaiilancourt and Glenn Chadbourne, depending on the version you buy, Widow’s Point is the story of the lighthouse at Harper’s Cove and the strange, unexplainable deaths that tend to happen there. The novella is a much expanded version of the short story of the same name. For more information about both the signed and unsigned editions and to order your copy, click here.
Supernatural horror film, Pyewacket, from the producers of The Witch and The Void, confirmed for European premiere at Glasgow Frightfest
Starring Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead) and Nicole Munoz (Hemlock Grove), Pyewacket is the story of a girl forced to move with her mother to a rural woodland home. After finding a witch-summoning ritual in a book in her new bedroom, the girl uses it in an attempt to kill her mother. When guilt strikes her, she tries to reverse the spell, but something has awoken in the woods. The film will be screened on 3 March and ticketing information is available here.
