Grimm up North announce latest screenings

Northern Horror empire, Grimm up North have announced their latest screenings for March and April. The Friday 13 double-whammy includes legendary films, Prom Night and Friday the 13th, with the double ticket priced at £8. For just £5, audiences will have the opportunity to re-watch cult classic American Psycho on the big screen, as well as 90’s controversial hit Fight Club. Each film, playing at Manchester Central Library, will include a pre-screening talk about the history and literary origins of the film. Crimson Peak Trailer

Take a peek at the new trailer for Crimson Peak.  Guillermo Del Toro’s latest gothic horror is set to hit our screens in October 2015. Starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam, Del Toro’s latest brainchild follows author Edith Cushing and her new husband, who may not be who he appears to be.

Kirkman’s Outcast brought to life

Creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, will return to our screens with the TV adaptation of his comic, Outcast. Outcast will be transformed into a ten episode season by Cinemax, who are HBO’s sister network. Kirkman has now written the pilot episode, and will work on the show as executive producer, making sure he sticks closely to the production. Artist, Paul Azaceta, also receives shared credit for his work on the comics. The series will star Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) and British actor Phillip Glenister (Life on Mars). 11/22/63 adaptation comes to Hulu

A TV adaptation of Stephen King’s 11/22/63, is to air on Hulu. The nine- episode series will be produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions, and has been picked up by Warner Bros. Starring James Franco (The Interview, Pineapple Express, 127 Hours), the TV show will follow the story of Jake Epping, a high school teacher who travels back in time to stop the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy, only to have his attempt scuppered by a number of obstacles that Jake could not possibly have foreseen.
