Debut short story collection by Mark W. Curran, The Witches of Wildwood, out now

The debut collection from horror author Mark W. Curran features stories about witches, werewolves, swamp creatures and more besides. Aimed at a young adult audience, but also written be enjoyed by adults, The Witches of Wildwood: Cape May Horror Stories aims to make the area of the Jersey Shore into a breeding ground for the frightening. Netflix releases Stranger Things season 1 summary video in 8-Bit video game style

Fans of Stranger Things who can’t wait for season two to land on Netflix this coming October can now give themselves a three-minute refresh of the events of the first season in 8-Bit video game sprite style. As part of the huge promotion push that the online broadcaster has been preparing ahead of the start of season two, they have digitised the cast of the first series, including the monsters from the upside-down, into the style of an old Nintendo NES game, or something similar. It’s a helpful catch-up, to refresh your memory about the first season and also a fun thing to watch. You can view the full three-minute clip below.


New release from Sinister Grin Press, Slashvivor, out today

Co-written by Stephen Kozeniewski and Stevie Kopas, Slashvivor is the story of an ultra-violent reality TV show set in a post-apocalyptic world. A new contender, Dawn Churchill, hailing from the irradiated remains of the former United States of America enters the fray, attempting to survive a night in the arena with serial killers, booby traps, an animatronic killer Abraham Lincoln-bot and much more besides.
