This Is Horror

Look Out For … Angel of the Underground by David Andreas

“This fish-out-water dropped into a dysfunctional family is the perfect setup for a creepy thriller tinged with danger.”

A brutal triple murder forces the state to foster the remaining children of a Catholic group home in Long Island. Now living with a completely new, and quite dysfunctional, family, fifteen-year-old Robin Hills discovers her new family doesn’t follow any religion. Scared and alone, Robin has nowhere to turn.

The murders continue, and Robin fears for her life. With her faith in peril, she turns to Dennis, a young boy who also lives in her new foster home. His kindness and acceptance of Robin, and the fact that he’s a horror movie fanatic, allows Robin to find a new strength inside. She finds the bravery needed to confront this evil, and end it once and for all.

Why we’re excited about this book:

Former editor of Fangoria magazine Tony Timpone says: “David Andreas was a super-talented contributor to Fangoria during its glory gory days. His fiction debut bodes well for readers of unique and scary horror.” This fish-out-water dropped into a dysfunctional family is the perfect setup for a creepy thriller tinged with danger. Throw in a horror movie loving friend for Robin and now we have a story destined to please. A reviewer at his blog splattercritic.com, Andreas teaches English at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, NY. Angel of the Underground is his first novel. It releases 2 January 2018 and is available for pre-order at Amazon.
