FrightFest 2013 Film Review: The Last Days

The Last Days“It’s moving, clever, and the effects are stunning!”

When a strange epidemic known only as ‘The Panic’ spreads across the globe, rendering everyone hyper-sensitive and agoraphobic, millions of people are trapped in their homes and workplaces. Marc was in his office when it struck, and has remained there for three months. Realising that now is the time, he heads off to look for his girlfriend, Julia, with the help of his maligned boss, Enrique, and a GPS device that the savage gangs peppering the block are keen to get their hands on. The Last Days, or Los últimos días, is tremendous. From the cast to the cinematography, this is Grade A. It’s moving, clever, and the effects are stunning. By the time you reach the conclusion (which might divide opinion) you’ll be glad you embarked on this journey with Marc and Enrique. The Last Days is, quite simply, spectacular.
