Horror 101 is unleashed.
Crystal Lake Publishing have released their latest book, a how-to guide about breaking into the horror writing industry. Horror 101: The Way Forward covers every conceivable angle of the genre and features essays from genre gurus such as Gary McMahon, Ramsey Campbell and Jack Ketchum. Silent Hill classics return to PlayStation
Konami have announced that two installments of it’s spectacular Silent Hill series have been made available on PSN. The two games, Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories were previously available on PSP. Origins allows the player use the traditional third-person perspective to guide lost trucker Travis Grady through the mist. Shattered Memories follows the same premise as the original game yet allows the plot to change based on the player’s unique actions in the games. The titles cost £7.99 each and are available now.
FrightFest update
FrightFest’s organisers have announced that this year’s event will be held at the Vue cinema in the West End, taking the event from the Empire for the first time in five years. The cinema has five screens which will feature a rolling schedule of the main programme across three of the screens, this will include Q&As being screened on two of the screens, making them accessible to a wider audience. This Is Horror will bring you more FrightFest news as we get it.
Rec 4 trailer arrives
The trailer for Rec 4: Apocalypse has landed. The film will carry on from the events of Rec 2 and appears to take on the darker tone of the first two films in the series. The film has a release date of Halloween in Spain but a wider release date has yet to be announced.
