Sea of BloodHelp Stephen King reveal Revival

Stephen King’s new book Revival is due to hit stores on 11 November. In the meantime, fans are invited to help the master of horror to reveal the cover for the book by heading over to the official Stephen King fan page and sharing, liking or commenting on the picture which will help to bring the image into a little more clarity with every click. As separate squares of the cover are revealed they will also have interactive content attached that will reveal secrets about the book.

Dark Renaissance quartet

Dark Renaissance Books have announced a quartet of new books. Firstly is Gravedigger’s Dance by G. O. Clark which is available to buy now. The other three books, Alice Walks by Michael Aronovitz, The Dead Valley and Others: Lovecraft’s Favorite Horror Stories Vol 2, edited by S.T. Joshi and The Sea of Blood by Reggie Oliver can be pre-ordered. To pick up your copy of any of these four great titles head over to the Dark Renaissance Books website.

The Babadook heads Stateside

The Babadook will receive it’s US release on 28 November this year. The film will premiere in the UK at this year’s FrightFest in August. The modern boogeyman tale revolves around the disturbed child of a murdered father who’s mother begins to believe in his twisted nightmares after finding a disturbing children’s book called The Babadook in their house.

R.I.P. Marilyn Burns

Marilyn Burns, the star of Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has died this week aged 65. Burns starred as Sally Hardesty in the depraved 1974 classic. She also starred opposite horror legend Robert Englund in Eaten Alive. This Is Horror passes on our condolences to the family, fans and friends of one of horror cinema’s most iconic performers.
