Paul Tremblay’s Head Full of Ghosts to be adapted into feature film

Oz Perkins, director of The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House, has been announced as the director and writer in charge of adapting the modern genre classic, Head Full Of Ghosts for the big screen. The film is being produced by Robert Downey Jr’s Team Downey and will be released through Focus Films some time towards the end of this year or the beginning of 2019.


Partners in CrimeThe Horror Writers’ Association announces ‘Partners in Crime’ dark crime fiction event

Taking place at The Quad, Derby, on 24 March at 6:00pm, ‘Partners in Crime’ is a crime fiction event that aims to discover, through interviews and panel discussions, how the current crossing over of the crime and horror genres can be used to benefit writers. Subjects for discussion include the increasingly dark atmosphere of modern thrillers, serial killer fiction and whether there is a place for the supernatural in crime fiction. Notable attendees include AK Benedict (The Beauty of Murder), Steph Broadribb (Deep Down Dead), Paul Finch (The Mark ‘Heck’ Heckenburg series) among others.  Tickets are available now for just £35 and you can get yours here.


Clowders

The new supernatural thriller from Vanessa Morgan, Clowders, out 1 March

When a young family relocate to the charming city of Clervaux in Luxembourg, known as the ‘cat haven’ to tourists, the striking beauty of the place soon becomes apparent. Things take a darker turn, however, when the family discover the town’s people’s true belief in the myth that every time one of the town’s cats dies, nine human lives must be taken to compensate.
