Castingrunes

Live reading of M. R. James’ Casting the Runes

Nunkie Productions and Thomthom Films have collaborated to produce a filmed reading of M. R. James’ classic supernatural tale, Casting the Runes. Filmed in one take, by the light of a single candle, the film harks back to the tradition of Christmas ghost stories, as popularised during the Victorian period. The video becomes available on 20 December and all the details can be found here.

Horror classic House  and all three sequels to be re-released in a box set early 2017

House, the classic horror movie franchise, is being re-released in its entirety in March 2017, in a box set. All of the films have been remastered in 1080p and 2k high resolution to bring these classics in to the twenty-first century. Each film has a huge variety of special features, such as audio commentaries, interviews and more. We’ll have more news on a precise release date as we have it.


12 Days

12 Days Christmas charity short story anthology released

Featuring such acclaimed authors as Holly Ice (The Russian Sleep Experiment), Duncan Ralston and Matt Shaw (Woom: An Extreme Horror) amongst others, 12 Days follows the lead of the classic Christmas Horror story, comprising twelve stories which can be bought as a collection or individually from Amazon. The proceeds all go to a good cause – in this case The Cystic Fibrosis trust. You can find all the info about the release here.


RE7-Biohazard-Ann

Eagerly anticipated Resident Evil 7 lurches into view with playable demo

Playstation and Xbox-owning zombie fans have to wait no more for their first experience with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Last weekend saw the launch of a playable demo on both platforms, available for download to prepare gamers for what they can expect when the full game launches next month. From the initial experience of the demo, entitled ‘beginning hour,’ the game is set to offer up classic horror movie scares, while remaining true to the hugely successful Resident Evil style.
