Tor have released the cover art for Paul Tremblay’s A Head Full of Ghosts, along with a short excerpt from the novel, which is due to be published by HarperCollins in June 2015. The story follows the Barrett family, who go to extraordinary lengths to prevent their teenage daughter, Marjorie, from descending into madness. Exigencies

Dark House Press have announced their latest anthology Exigencies, which will be released from April 14, 2015. The anthology includes a foreword from horror mogul, Chuck Wendig, and also sees contributions from authors such as Letitia Trent, David James Keaton and Damien Angelica Walters. Exigencies is available for pre-order now.

Myths & Monsters

William Meikle’s latest collection Myths & Monsters features 12 short stories, each based on a myth or monster of legend. Each one of these stories is accompanied by a unique original illustration or painting by artist Mark Hogg. Fans can pre-order a copy now in either hardback or paperback. Paperback copies will be released on 20 December 2014, whilst hardback copies are available from February 2015. There are 100 hardback copies available with all colour illustrations for just £22. Tim Burton Season

Grimm Up North are taking over Manchester again for their latest event, Tim Burton Season. Over the course of two months, the horror festival organisers will be showing four of Burton’s most popular films, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow and Batman. All of the screenings will take place at Odeon Printworks in Manchester City Centre. Tickets are all priced at £6.50. For more information visit the GrimmFest website.

Crystal Lake opens its doors

Crystal Lake Publishing is opening its doors to submissions. The staff there want to read your novels, novellas, short story collections, poetry and dark non-fiction.
