Howard Linskey, Alison Littlewood, Sarah Pinborough and Jasper Bark invade Coventry Library

Howard Linskey Alison Littlewood Sarah PinboroughIt’s been a few months since our last live event but we rather think this one is more than worth the wait. Introducing an afternoon with three of the finest writers in the UK, Howard Linskey, Alison Littlewood and Sarah Pinborough, hosted by the charismatic voice of horror, Mr. Jasper Bark.

Taking place on Saturday 5 October 2013, the event is scheduled to kick off at 2pm and will run until 4pm. The event, held at Coventry Central Library, will include readings, interviews conducted by our horror host, and a Q&A with the audience. Books will be available to purchase on the afternoon.

Howard Linskey’s debut novel The Drop was a Times newspaper ‘Top 5 Thriller of the Year’ in 2011 and his follow-up The Damage a ‘Top 12 Best Summer Read’ in the same newspaper in 2012. His Newcastle based crime stories have been optioned for television by David Barron, producer of the Harry Potter films, for Runaway Fridge Productions. Howard’s latest novel ‘The Dead’ Completes the David Blake trilogy.

Alison Littlewood’s latest novel, Path of Needles, is published by Jo Fletcher Books. Her first novel, A Cold Season, was selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club, where it was described as “perfect reading for a dark winter’s night.” Alison’s short stories have been picked for the Best Horror of the Year and Mammoth Book of Best New Horror anthologies, as well as The Best British Fantasy 2013 and The Mammoth Book of Best British Crime 10. Her work has also featured in genre magazines Black Static, Crimewave and Dark Horizons.

Sarah Pinborough is a critically acclaimed horror, thriller and YA author. In the UK she is published by both Gollancz and Jo Fletcher Books at Quercus and by Ace, Penguin in the US. Her short stories have appeared in several anthologies and she has a horror film Cracked currently in development and another original screenplay under option. She has recently branched out into television writing and has written for New Tricks on the BBC and has an original series in development with World Productions.

Sarah was the 2009 winner of the British Fantasy Award for Best Short Story, and has three times been short-listed for Best Novel. She has also been short-listed for a World Fantasy Award. Her novella, The Language of Dying was short-listed for the Shirley Jackson Award and won the 2010 British Fantasy Award for Best Novella.
