Final Destination ban

Final Destination 5The poster from the fifth instalment in the Final Destination franchise has been banned because it could potentially distress children between 3 and 5 years of age reports BBC News.

The Advertising Standards Authority claimed there were several complaints from traumatised parents because of the poster’s graphic content saying that “it was likely to cause fear and undue distress to children.”

The animated poster, which depicts a skull being skewered by sharp implements, is tame when compared to some of the risqué underwear marketing billboards popping up in cities everywhere.

Distributor Warner Brothers felt that the image “accurately reflected the content of the film in an appropriate manner without causing excessive fear or distress”.
